Why β€œPAKANG”?

A name born on the tennis courts of Iligan City.

The person behind the paddle started out as a young β€œpulot boy” β€” a tennis ball boy at the local court in CELFORT. He spent countless hours watching people play, picking up balls, and slowly falling in love with the game.

Like the other ball boys, he dreamed of getting on the court himself. There was only one problem: they could not afford tennis rackets.

But having no racket did not stop them from playing. With whatever materials they could find, the boys carved their own rackets out of pieces of wood β€” tabla. They shaped them by hand so they could finally experience the game they had only ever watched from the sidelines.

That homemade wooden racket had a name. They called it β€œPAKANG.”

What started as a simple piece of wood, made by kids who could not afford a real racket, became the inspiration for a modern performance paddle.

  1. The Sidelines

A pulot boy at CELFORT, chasing balls and watching the game he could not yet play.

  2. The Tabla

No money for a racket. So they shaped one out of wood by hand β€” and named it PAKANG.

  3. The Court

Making something out of nothing. Creativity when resources are limited.

  4. The Paddle

A performance paddle built for today's competitive court. Same fighting spirit.

Your beginnings do not determine how far you can go.

From Pulot Boy to Player. From Tabla to Paddle. From Iligan to the Philippines β€” and beyond.
The Design Language

Every element has a reason for being there.

The Warrior Mark

The two stripes on the sides of the paddle are the Warrior Mark β€” strength, courage, discipline, resilience, determination. When you do not have everything you need, you learn to fight with what you have.

Three Stars and the Sun

Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao β€” with the sun for the freedom, unity, strength, and spirit of the Filipino people. Born in Iligan, but carrying a much bigger identity.

αœ‰αœƒαœ…αœ”

Baybayin Roots

The ancient Filipino-inspired script reads β€œPAKANG.” It ties modern performance to our cultural roots β€” an identity that goes far beyond putting a flag on a product.

Performance Face

A clean, aggressive, premium surface with a minimalist layout β€” so the Warrior Mark, the stars and sun, and the Baybayin details stand out without crowding the paddle.

Questions

Before you order

Which weight should I choose?

Take the 8.0 oz if you value hand speed and control at the net. Take the 8.3 oz if you drive a lot and want more put-away power and stability against pace.

Is the PAKANG legal for tournaments?

The paddle is built to USA Pickleball equipment specifications and is intended for sanctioned play. Always check your specific event's current approved list before competing.

How long is shipping?

Metro Manila orders arrive in 1–3 business days. Provincial and island deliveries take 3–7 business days. Orders over β‚±5,000 ship free nationwide.

What does the warranty cover?

One year against manufacturing defects β€” delamination, core failure, or edge guard separation under normal play. Cosmetic wear and grip wear are not covered.

What is the NFC chip in the handle for?

Every PAKANG looks identical, which makes the paddle stack at a busy court a mix-up waiting to happen. A chip sealed under the butt cap lets any phone tap identify whose paddle it is in about a second. See how Paddle ID works.

Where is PAKANG from?
